Carillon

What is Carillon?

Carillon is unique music instrument which consists of more than 23 bells and mechanical carillon console which allows performer to play musically. Carillon console is connected to the bells and played by hands and feet. Experienced performer can make great dynamics and is capable of achieving musical performance. In the whole world, it is said to exist more than 600 carillons. Among them 200 are in the Netherlands, 150 in Belgium and 100 in the USA. In Germany ca. 30 carillon exist. We are giving regular recital on the carillon of Emmerich am Rhein.
